IndoVentura was founded on a simple belief: travel should benefit the places and people we visit – not harm them.
Indonesia is one of the most diverse countries on earth. Yet much of this richness remains hidden, while most tourism focuses on only a few areas.
IndoVentura exists to change that.
MY ROLE
IndoVentura operates solely as a travel consulting and introduction service.
I provide travel guidance and local information, and introduce travellers to independent local guides across Indonesia when relevant.
All travel services are delivered directly by independent local guides under separate agreements with travellers. Each guide is solely responsible for their own services, arrangements, and execution.
IndoVentura does not operate tours, provide travel services, or act as a booking intermediary or tour operator.
MEET THE FOUNDER
My story
IndoVentura was founded by Patrick, a German traveller whose passion for Indonesia developed through independent travel far beyond common tourist routes.
Living with local families, learning the language, working alongside community members, and sharing daily life provided deep insight into Indonesian culture — its hospitality, generosity, and diversity — as well as firsthand exposure to how tourism can either support or harm local livelihoods.
My mission
I want to support a travel model that empowers communities, protects natural environments, and enables travelers to experience Indonesia more meaningfully without contributing to the negative impacts of mass tourism.
My guide network
I’ve met and traveled with every guide personally. They’re local experts, each with specialized knowledge. From culture and history to wildlife and traditional crafts, ensuring every trip is authentic and insightful.
